Eidogen-Sertanty Releases Major Database Upgrades
San Diego, CA (November 9, 2007) - Eidogen-Sertanty, Inc., a computational drug discovery solutions provider, today announced the release of major upgrades to its onlineTIP knowledgebase (onlineTIP) and its Kinase Knowledgebase (KKB).
The onlineTIP upgrade includes data from the recent Protein Databank (PDB) remediation project as well as newly released, highly significant PDB structural information. As a result of the PDB remediation project, many previously inconsistent PDB formatted files became accessible to TIP's StructFast, StructSorter, SiteSeeker, and SiteSorter algorithms. Combined with newly released protein structure coordinates, including the recently released " Structure of an Engineered Human {beta}2-Adrenergic G Protein Coupled Receptor (Science, 2007)," the scope of protein structures, models, binding-sites, and their respective correlations increased significantly within onlineTIP.
Along with the enhanced coverage and scope of data, onlineTIP content now resides in relational database form. TIP content in relational form means easier access, more facile association with other content, and more efficient integration with other technologies.
Concomitant with the onlineTIP upgrade is another quarterly release of the Kinase Knowledgebase (KKB), which now contains over 300,000 SAR data points curated from over 3700 journal articles and patents. The KKB is available in export form accessible by Accelrys-Scitegic's Pipeline Pilot® and in relational database format supporting Symyx® ISIS and Symyx® Iscentris®, Accelrys-Accord and Daylight-DayCart® relational database cartridge technologies.
"We are very excited about these two important database releases," said Steve Muskal, CEO of Eidogen-Sertanty. "Providing all of our key content offerings in relational database form now affords our clients the opportunity to integrate, search, and mine the cross-sectional wealth of information found between the often disconnected worlds of target- and ligand-based information."
